When was Gulf Keystone Petroleum Ltd (the “Company”) formed?

Incorporated on 29th October 2001 Gulf Keystone was established to pursue exploration, development and production of oil and gas in those Middle Eastern and North African countries that are seeking to partner with foreign oil companies, in order to further develop their oil and gas reserves.

Where does the Company do business?

Gulf Keystone currently has exploration and appraisal rights over seven blocks and two producing fields in the Republic of Algeria. In 2007, Gulf Keystone diversified out of its 100% Algeria focused position and secured interests in two blocks in the Kurdish Region of Northern Iraq. The Company is actively looking for new business opportunities in the parts of North Africa and the Middle East where it believes it has a competitive advantage.

How do I change my address on my share certificate?

Your address does not appear on the certificate (it may appear on the certificate counterfoil, but this is not the certificate itself) and it is not therefore necessary to return the certificate in the event of a change of address. My partner or relative has died. What should I do about their shareholding?

You should inform our registrar, Computershare Investor Services (Channel Islands) Limited, 31 Pier Road, St Helier, Jersey JE4 8PW in writing, and enclosing the certificates representing the total shareholding, the death certificate if the holding is a joint holding, or, in the case of a sole holding, a sealed copy Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration. For Scottish residents the equivalent document is a Certificate of Confirmation.

Alternatively, if probate (or the equivalent) is not being sought due to the small value of the estate, you can apply to use the Small Estate Procedure, providing the total value of the UK estate is under £20,000 and the total value within the estate of shares is under £10,000. I am receiving multiple copies of shareholder mailings. How can I stop this?

This is probably because Computershare Investor Services is holding two (or more) accounts for you on the share register arising from inconsistencies in your name/address details.
